Houlihan Asset Management, LLC is a Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisor and financial planning firm. We offer practical financial advice and prudent investment management. As investment and tax professionals, we're uniquely qualified to focus on your entire financial picture, including assisting you with financial goals. Once your goals are defined, the CPAs and CFP on our staff work with you to design an investment plan to reach them. We believe in client education that helps you understand your finances, and feel empowered to make more informed financial decisions.

Principal Partner profiles
Dennis N. Houlihan, CFP, MS
Dennis is also a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington. He is a Certified Financial Planner, and has a Master’s degree in financial planning and portfolio management. He previously worked at Lincoln National Life and Paine Webber Co. in operations and investments. Dennis is the managing director of Houlihan Asset Management. His areas of expertise are portfolio management, retirement planning and college funding.
During slow news days, he has been quoted in such periodicals as the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, Forbes, The New York Times, Smart Money and local Fort Wayne newspapers. He also has served as an expert witness in security court cases. Dennis is married to Michelle. When not suffering through IU sports, he enjoys golf, gardening, grilling and compounding interest.
James J. Houlihan, JR., CPA
Jim is a principal in Houlihan Asset Management and also a partner in Houlihan LLP, a full-service CPA firm. His areas of expertise include financial and tax planning, valuation of small business in conjunction with family succession planning, mergers and acquisitions.
Jim is married to Ruth Ann and they are raising four children, three of whom will be in college at the same time. When Jim is not preoccupied with college funding concerns, Jim serves numerous local charities, reads a lot and the former Fort Wayne Men's City champion steals an occasional round of golf.
Patrick T. Houlihan, CPA
Pat is another Indiana University, Bloomington graduate. He is a CPA and former associate of the accounting firm Price Waterhouse (currently Price WaterhouseCoopers), in Atlanta, where he worked in both the audit and tax departments.
Pat is a principal in Houlihan Asset Management and is also a partner in Houlihan LLP, a full-service CPA firm. He specializes in tax and personal financial planning as well as forensic and fraud accounting. Pat has earned the CFE, Certified Fraud Examiner certification from the Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the world's largest anti-fraud organization.
Pat and his wife, Karen, have a son and two daughters. Like his brothers, he shares a passion for golf and sits on the board of two not-for-profit organizations serving northeast Indiana, Crossroad and Catholic Charities.
